Dust settles silently on your roller blind
A roller blind is a panel of fabric stretched tight on a roller tube, and that flat surface facing the room traps the fine dust layer by layer. What makes it harder is that coarse sand enters when windows open and catches on the fabric edge and the rolling mechanism, gradually stiffening the movement.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district, the number of roller blinds you have, their rough dimensions and anything you notice about the fabric, and we agree a time for collection and return that suits you.

What does roller blind cleaning cover?
These are the parts the work covers on each blind, depending on the fabric condition and what you notice on it.
- The fabric panel
We clean the fabric surface of built-up dust and marks, taking into account whether the material is light-filtering or plain fabric.
- The roller tube
We remove dust and grime from the inner tube, because build-up there upsets the rolling balance and causes the blind to drop unevenly.
- Roll mechanism and chain
We check the rolling action is smooth after cleaning, as dust settles in the mechanism gears and makes the pull heavy or jerky.
- The bottom rail and hem
The bottom edge collects more dirt than anywhere else because it sits closest to the sill and the floor, and we give it extra attention during washing.
- Sun yellowing and stains
Light-coloured fabric yellows with prolonged direct sun, and we treat those marks in a way that suits the fabric type without harming its colour.
- Washing, drying and rolling
The fabric is washed, then dried away from direct heat before being re-rolled on the tube, because rolling it while damp distorts the panel and leaves it uneven.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us what you notice
Tell us how many roller blinds you have and their rough size, whether the fabric is light or dark, and what you notice such as stains, yellowing or a stiff pull.
We agree a time
We set a collection time with you, and it helps to take the blinds down beforehand and fold them gently so they are ready when we arrive.
We start the work
We wash the fabric, tube and mechanism, dry everything properly, then return the blinds to you. Check the rolling action and that the panel drops evenly before you hang them again.
A service that comes to your door
- We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
- One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
- Curtains and more with one teamWe wash blackout curtains, chiffon curtains and roller blinds, and we clean sofas, carpets, wall-to-wall carpet and mattresses too.
- Describe your blind in your own wordsA call or a WhatsApp message is enough to describe the condition of your blinds and tell us which district you are in.
A common worry is that washing will damage the rolling mechanism or warp the fabric. The fabric is separated from the tube and washed on its own, then dried before being re-fitted, so the tube and mechanism stay dry throughout. Tell us what you notice and leave the rest to us.

Questions about Roller blind cleaning
My roller blind drops at an angle, could dust be the cause?
An angled drop is often caused by dust and grime building up on one side of the tube or inside the mechanism gears, throwing the rolling balance off. Cleaning the tube and mechanism restores the balance in many cases, but if the fitting itself is misaligned that is a different matter, and it helps to mention it when you call.
How do I tell if my roller blind needs washing rather than just dusting?
Dusting removes loose surface dust, but dark marks, yellowing, ingrained dirt on the bottom hem or grey lines near the fold edges are signs that washing is needed. If the fabric has a smell that does not clear with airing, washing is the answer.
Should I take the roller blind down before you come, or do you remove it?
It is better to take them down before the appointment and fold them gently, as that saves time and lets you check their condition before handover. If you need help with removal, mention it when you call and we agree on what suits you.
The fabric has a backing coating, will washing damage it?
Roller fabric with a back coating, whether for light filtering or heat insulation, needs washing at a suitable temperature and drying away from direct heat, because excess heat damages the coating. Tell us the fabric type when you call so it gets the right treatment.
What affects the price of roller blind cleaning?
The price varies with the number of blinds and their dimensions, the fabric type and whether it has a backing or special treatment, and the degree of staining or soiling. Give us these details when you call or message us on WhatsApp and we agree the price before work begins.
