Extension pole mop wiping the outside of an apartment window pane

Window exterior cleaning

The dust layers up on the outside of your windows until it dims the light and changes how the room looks from within. We clean the outer surface completely so the view comes back clear.

About the service

The room feels darker the cause is outside

When the window is shut, the glass looks clean from inside, but the outer surface faces dust and sand-laden wind every day. One thin layer settles on top of another, on the glass itself and on the frame and ledge, and none of it comes off with a quick wipe from the inside.

We start when you call or message us on WhatsApp: tell us your district, how many windows you have and where they sit in the home, and we agree a time. Leave the outside to us and let the light back in.

  • Glass and frame
  • Ledge and sill
  • Balconies and mashrabiyas

What does window exterior cleaning cover?

These are the parts the cleaning goes through on each window, depending on its condition and position in the home.

  • The outer glass pane

We remove the dry dust layer first, then treat the water spots that rain drops leave on the glass surface, as these marks block more light than dust alone.

  • The outer window frame

Dust settles in the frame corners and along the seam lines between the glass and the metal or aluminium, and we wipe it clear because it blows back onto the glass with any breeze.

  • The window ledge and sill

The outer sill collects sand, dried mud and bird residue, and cleaning it stops that debris from running down onto the glass with rain or wind.

  • Outer hinges and joints

Light rust and trapped grit on the metal joints are wiped away, since leaving them affects how smoothly the window opens over time.

  • Mashrabiyas and timber elements

The timber around some home windows draws dust into its grain, and we wipe it in a way that suits the material so the surface is not damaged.

  • Adjacent balcony surfaces

When a window opens onto a balcony, we wipe the section of balcony wall next to the glass, as it is a direct source of dust transfer back to the pane.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us about your windows

Tell us how many windows you have, which floor they are on, whether any are in a tight or high spot, and which district you are in.

  3. We agree a time and you prepare

We settle on a suitable time, and you check that the outside of the windows can be reached and clear anything from inside that might be in the way.

  4. The clean and what to check after

We clean the glass, frame and ledge on the outside, and we point out any stubborn water marks or frame damage we notice during the work.

Why Al Baraa Clean

  • We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
  • One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
  • Other services for the same homeThe same team cleans shop glass, building glass, aluminium windows and tower facades, and polishes marble and floor tiles too.
  • Describe what you need in your own wordsA call or a WhatsApp message is enough to describe your windows and agree on what suits them.
The whole home from one company

One worry is that cleaning will leave marks or scratches on the glass. The outer glass is always freed of dry dust before any wet wiping begins, because dragging sand grains across dry glass is what causes scratches in the first place. Call or message us, describe your windows, and leave the rest to us.

Questions about Window exterior cleaning

How do I know my windows need cleaning from outside?

A sign is that the room feels dim even when it is bright outside, or when you look at the glass at an angle you see a hazy white film. The round white spots that stay after rain dries come from water evaporating and leaving mineral salts on the outer glass surface.

Does cleaning a ground-floor window differ from an upper-floor one?

Yes, reaching the outside depends on the floor and the building layout. When you call, tell us the floor and what surrounds the window outside, whether a balcony, a courtyard or an open facade, so we can agree on the right approach.

What should I prepare before the window exterior cleaning appointment?

Check that the outside of the windows is accessible. If the windows open outward from inside, leave them able to open. If there are curtains or covers close to the glass on the inside, move them so they do not get wet.

White spots stay on the glass after rain, is that dust or something else?

They are usually mineral deposits left by water itself: when a raindrop falls on the dust already on the glass then evaporates, the dissolved salts stay behind. These deposits are harder to remove than ordinary dust and need a different approach depending on how thick they are.

Does the scope of the cleaning change depending on the window's condition?

Yes, a window that has not been cleaned for a long time carries layers of dust, deposits and dried mud that differ from one with only seasonal dust. A high-floor window exposed to wind also differs from a lower one. We ask about all of this when you call.
