A new home is not always as clean as it looks
When you take the keys to a new home, you may find a layer of fine dust on every surface, paint residue on the glass, and grease built up in the kitchen or bathroom from previous occupants. This is not always neglect: homes are sometimes handed over straight after finishing work or after a fast handover, and what remains hides behind furniture or in corners that only become visible once the place is empty.
Moving out is a different situation. A clean before handover can change the outcome of the landlord's inspection and protect your right to get your deposit back in full, and it is an explicit condition in many rental contracts. A thorough clean at departure covers the places where dirt has settled over years: behind the fridge, under the sink, and inside the drain traps.
Call or WhatsApp us and tell us your district, the type of home and what you notice, whether you are arriving or leaving, and we agree a time that works for you so you begin or end your stay in a clean home.

What does move-in / move-out cleaning cover?
These are the areas the clean goes through in move-in and move-out homes, depending on the condition of the place and what you notice in it.
- Full kitchen
Grease builds on surfaces, ovens and extractor hoods over time and needs more than an everyday wipe, because old layers dry and bond to metal and tile in a way that takes deliberate work to remove.
- Bathrooms and toilets
Calcium and the desert dust leave a white film on taps, mirrors and baths, and cleaning includes the scale under the taps and behind the toilet that ordinary wiping does not reach.
- All floor types
Ceramic, marble and parquet each need a different approach: ceramic is mopped with attention to the grout lines, marble needs gentle handling to protect its finish, and parquet is wiped with controlled moisture to prevent warping.
- Windows and glass
Window glass collects a layer of fine dust and sand, and at a move the glass may not have been cleaned for a long time, so the panes, their channels and the inner frame edges all get washed.
- Cupboards and drawers
Inside cupboards and drawers, dirt collects in corners and under internal shelves, areas that routine cleaning misses, so they are wiped inside and out as part of the move clean.
- Ceilings and walls
Smoke marks, damp traces and dust settle on walls and ceilings over time, and they show clearly once the home is empty, needing attention before a move-in or handover.
How do we start?

We agree a time and you prepare
We settle on a time that suits you, and you aim to have the home empty or nearly empty, because access to every surface makes the work much more complete.
The clean and what to check after
We go through the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, windows and cupboards, and then you check the place yourself to be satisfied with every part before your move-in or handover.

Questions about Move-in / move-out cleaning
How do I know if the home needs a move clean rather than a regular clean?
A move clean suits you when the home is empty or nearly so, and you want the areas that furniture normally hides dealt with: behind appliances, inside cupboards and under basins. If surfaces have not been cleaned for a long time or there are remains from previous occupants, this is the right type of clean.
Does the home have to be completely empty before the clean?
It does not have to be completely empty, but the emptier the space, the more complete the clean. Heavy furniture blocks the floor and walls behind it, and full cupboards cannot be cleaned inside. Tell us the actual situation when you call and we agree on what can be covered.
Does villa move-in cleaning differ from cleaning an apartment before moving in?
Yes, a villa differs in size, number of floors and variety of surfaces: marble, floor drains, staircases and outdoor areas. The scope depends on the villa's area, condition and number of rooms. Some customers ask for villa move-in cleaning straight after handover from the contractor, which is close to post-construction cleaning, and we agree the scope when you call.
What should I check after the clean before accepting the home?
Check inside cupboards and drawers, behind bathroom doors, under basins, the upper and lower corners of the kitchen, the grout lines on the tile, and the window glass in natural light. These are the spots where any remaining marks show, and they are what a landlord typically inspects at handover.
What changes the size of the job in a move clean?
The size of the job depends on the floor area, the number of rooms and bathrooms, how long the previous clean was neglected, whether there are construction or paint remains, and the state of the kitchen grease. Access matters too: homes with high ceilings or narrow stairs need different preparation. Share these details when you call.
Does the clean include removing paint or plaster remains from glass and tile?
Paint and plaster remains are different from ordinary dirt and need a different approach. If the home has had construction or finishing work, it is closer to post-construction cleaning. Tell us the full state of the home when you call and we agree on the right type of clean.
Is a quick wipe-down enough before handing the keys back?
A quick wipe makes the visible surfaces look clean but leaves the hidden spots unchanged. Many rental contracts require the home to be returned in a clean, habitable state, and a landlord's inspection usually covers the bathrooms, kitchen and cupboard interiors. A thorough clean before handover protects you from remarks that affect your deposit.
