Black ants walk in a line because the nest is behind it
Black ants are distinct in how they move: workers follow fixed trails between the nest and a food source. The nest is usually inside a hollow wall, beneath floor tiles, or in garden soil close to the building, away from where you actually see them.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and where the ants appear, describe how they are moving, and we agree a time that suits you.

What does black-ant treatment cover?
These are the elements the work covers, depending on where the ants appear, the building type and the state of the nest.
- Tracing worker trails
We follow the ant line from where it appears to find the direction back to the nest, because treatment starts at the source, not the spot you see.
- Locating the nest
Black ants typically nest inside hollow walls, beneath tiles, or in soil outside the building, and we check those spots based on what the trails show.
- Treating cracks and gaps
Gaps between tiles and wall openings are main entry routes for ants, and we treat them in a way suited to the crack depth and surface material.
- Kitchen area and drains
Food residue and moisture near drains draw black ants in particular, and we treat those areas to cut the movement between the nest and the kitchen.
- Soil and outdoor area
When the nest source is in garden soil or pavement gaps next to the building, treatment covers that area to cut the link between the outdoor nest and the interior.
- Post-treatment check
We walk through with you after the work to check that movement along the main trails has stopped, and we discuss what to watch for in the days that follow.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us what you see
Describe where the black ants appear, whether in the kitchen, on a wall or in the garden, and tell us which district you are in so we can prepare properly.
We agree a time and you prepare
We settle on a time that suits you, and you empty the lower kitchen cupboards if that is where the ants appear, and move uncovered food away from the areas to be treated.
We work, then you check
We trace the trails, treat the nest and the entry points, then walk through with you, and you watch over the following days whether movement on the trails you noticed has slowed.
A service that comes to your door
- We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
- One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
- Other ant types and pests tooWe also handle fire-ant control, flying-ant control, cockroach control, bed bug control, rodent control and termite control.
- Describe it in your own wordsA call or a WhatsApp message is enough to tell us where the ants are and how they move, and we agree the rest.
One worry is that only the surface where ants appear gets treated while the real nest stays untouched, so the source remains. The work starts by following the trails to find the nest, not just by spraying what is visible, and you can leave that sequence to us.

Questions about Black-ant control
Black ants suddenly appearing in large numbers, does that mean the nest is close?
Not necessarily. A sudden large appearance often means the nest has found a food source and sent more workers, but the nest itself may be in an adjacent wall or in garden soil some distance away. The trails tell the real distance, and that is the first thing we trace.
Black ants only on an outside wall, do they need treating?
Ants on an outside wall are usually moving between a nest in the soil and a food source inside or outside the building. If the trail is fixed and repeats daily, the nest is active and may reach inside later. Treating it at this stage is simpler than after it has entered.
Do I need to leave the house during black-ant treatment?
That depends on the area being treated, and we explain it when we agree the appointment. In many cases it is enough to keep children and pets away from the work area temporarily and ventilate afterwards, and we give you the precise details before the visit.
I saw black ants a few days after treatment, has it not worked?
Some movement in the first days after treatment is normal, because workers that were outside the nest at the time return to the trail and are affected gradually. The real indicator is a drop in movement along the main trails after enough time has passed, which is what we discuss in the review walk-through.
Black ants appearing in a room with no food in it, why?
Black ants are not only looking for food; moisture in bathroom walls or warmth inside internal walls can make a room part of a trail or even a nest site. If a wall is hollow or has an old crack, ants may use it as a passage even without food nearby.
