What does cockroach gel treatment cover?
These are the surfaces and spots the treatment goes through in the kitchen, bathroom and elsewhere, depending on the condition of the space and what you notice.

Gel goes into drawer joints and the inner corners of cabinets, where cockroaches shelter because of the warmth and moisture close to the sink.
- Behind the fridge and cooker
The heat coming from behind these two appliances draws cockroaches in, so the gel is applied to the wall and floor directly behind them.

Is gel treatment right for my home if the cockroaches are only in the kitchen?

How do I know the gel has started to work?
Early signs include seeing cockroaches come out in the daytime or moving slowly instead of hiding the moment the light comes on. This means they have fed on the gel or been affected by others that did. Numbers should fall gradually in the following days, and that is what we advise you to watch.
Do I need to empty the cabinets before the treatment?
You do not need to empty everything, but it is best to move open dishes and unsealed food out of the cabinets where the gel will be applied. Sealed containers and cookware stay in place, and we go through the details with you when we agree the time.
Can cockroaches come back from neighbours or shared pipes after the treatment?
Yes, in shared buildings cockroaches move through the drainage network and openings in shared walls between units. This is why covering entry points such as gaps around pipes and drain openings during treatment matters, and it is something we account for when placing the gel.
How is gel treatment different from the cockroach sprays I buy from the shop?
Shop sprays affect what they directly hit and evaporate quickly in the summer heat, while gel is a bait that is eaten and passed between members of the colony. More importantly, it is placed inside the tight hiding spots that a spray cannot reach, and those are the places where cockroaches actually breed.
