dust dims your chandelier's light
A chandelier hangs at ceiling height and draws the fine dust rising from the room toward it. Fine sand that drifts in through gaps during the hot summer months adds to that layer. Over time a film builds on the glass, crystal and metal that blocks light from reflecting, and what was a striking light fitting becomes a dull, hazy shape.
A chandelier is not one piece: it has a metal or wooden body, hanging elements of crystal, glass or brass, connectors, wires and lamp holders. Each of those materials reacts differently to water, heat and cleaning agents. That is why cleaning a crystal chandelier is a different job from cleaning a brass one, and we ask about the type when you call so we can prepare accordingly.
All you need to do is describe the chandelier, tell us what you notice on it and which district you are in, and we agree a time with you. Call or message us on WhatsApp and we take care of the rest.
- Crystal and glass
- Brass and metal
- Body and pendants
Which chandelier needs cleaning?
Choose the service by the main material of your chandelier, because each material calls for a different cleaning approach.
- Crystal chandelier cleaningWhen your chandelier is made of crystal or clear glass pieces that have lost their sparkle or built up a layer of dust that dulls the light.
- Brass chandelier cleaningWhen your chandelier is brass or metal and has developed spots, a colour change or a dull surface that was once polished.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us about your chandelier
Tell us the type and material of your chandelier, its approximate height and what you notice on it, and which district you are in, so we can prepare the right way.
We agree a time
We agree a suitable time with you, and we recommend clearing furniture and soft furnishings from beneath the chandelier and keeping the electricity accessible so it can be switched off at the start.
Work starts and you check
We clean the chandelier according to its type and material, and when we finish you check that all its pieces are in place, the light works and the surface is clean again.
A service that comes to your door
- We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
- One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
- The same team for all your soft furnishingsWe clean crystal and brass chandeliers, and we also wash sofas, carpets, wall-to-wall carpet, curtains and mattresses.
- Describe it in your own wordsA call or a WhatsApp message is enough to describe the chandelier and what you notice on it.
One worry is that the chandelier will be taken apart and the pieces will not go back in the right places. The cleaning starts by understanding how the chandelier is assembled before anything is removed, and what stays up is cleaned in place, and what comes down is reassembled with care. Tell us what you need and leave the work to us.

Questions about Chandelier cleaning
How do I know my chandelier needs cleaning?
Clear signs are that the light looks dimmer than before even with new bulbs, that the crystal or glass pieces no longer reflect light sharply, or that a layer of dust is visible on the metal body. A chandelier in an air-conditioned room collects dust silently and the change is too gradual to notice day by day.
Does the chandelier have to be fully taken apart to clean it?
It depends on the chandelier's design, height and condition. Some can be cleaned in place after switching off the electricity, others need some parts to come down, and some come down entirely. We decide the right approach when you describe the chandelier to us on the call.
What should I move from under the chandelier before the appointment?
It is best to move nearby furniture, rugs, ornaments and any delicate objects out from directly under it, so the area is open and nothing is at risk while the work is done.
Does ceiling height change how the cleaning is done?
Yes, ceiling height is one of the first things we ask about. A chandelier in a tall reception hall needs a different access method from one in a standard room, and that affects how we prepare and how the job goes. Tell us the approximate height when you call.
What is the difference between cleaning a crystal chandelier and a brass one?
Crystal and glass are sensitive to harsh agents and gather dust that blocks their transparency, while brass mainly suffers from colour change and spots caused by humidity and oxidation. That is why you will find two separate services in the list below, each handling its material in the way that suits it.
Does the height of the chandelier affect the service details or the price?
The height of the chandelier affects how access is arranged and how the job is prepared, which in turn affects the service details and the price. A chandelier at a low ceiling is a different situation from one in a tall reception hall. That is why approximate height is one of the things to mention when you call, so we can agree on the details clearly.
Is a chandelier in a hotel lobby or commercial space different from a home chandelier?
In size and complexity, usually yes: commercial chandeliers are larger, have more parts and need different access. But the principle is the same: the material, its condition and the height determine how the job is done, and those details are worked out when you call and describe the place and the chandelier.
