Your crystal traps dust instead of reflecting light
A crystal chandelier is made of many hanging pieces, each a smooth glass surface that attracts the fine electrostatic dust in the air. That layer does not fall off with a blow; it bonds to the surface and blocks the light refraction that makes crystal different from any other material.
Tell us what you notice about your chandelier and which district you are in, and we agree a time. We describe what the work covers when you call or message us on WhatsApp, and we take care of the rest.

What does crystal chandelier cleaning cover?
These are the parts the work goes through on a crystal chandelier, depending on its size, condition and what you notice.
- Hanging crystal drops
Each drop is cleaned individually to remove the dust film bonded to its glass surface, as these pieces are what split the light and give the chandelier its brilliance when lit.
- The metal frame
The frame that holds the drops is wiped of dust and grime from its surface, because dust collects in its joints and angles and shows clearly when the chandelier is lit.
- Chains and rings
The chain links and their connecting rings are cleaned, since dust works its way between the metal rings and is not removed by surface wiping alone.
- Hooks and connectors
The hooks that hold each drop are checked and cleaned, as they are the points that secure the pieces and determine how the chandelier looks when lit.
- The canopy and crown
The ceiling canopy and the top crown are wiped down; they collect more dust than the rest because they sit closest to the ceiling and are furthest from sight.
- Bulbs and their holders
The bulb holders and their shades are cleaned of dust and marks, as the heat from the bulbs draws fine particles and bonds them to the surface over time.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us about your chandelier
Tell us the rough size of the chandelier, the ceiling height, your district, and what you have noticed, such as dimmer light or visible dust on the drops.
We agree a time and what to prepare
We settle on a time that suits you, and you move furniture and fragile objects from under the chandelier and make sure the power to the chandelier point can be switched off.
We work and you check
We clean the drops, frame, chains and hooks, then we switch the light back on with you so you can see how the light reflects through the crystal and check that everything is in place.

Questions about Crystal chandelier cleaning
How do I know my crystal chandelier needs cleaning?
The clearest sign is that the light reflected through the drops looks dull even when the chandelier is on, or you see a grey film on the drops when you look closely. In the air, fine dust settles on glass surfaces quietly and quickly, and the full effect only shows when you compare today's look with how the chandelier looked when it was last clean.
Are all the crystal drops removed during cleaning?
That depends on the chandelier's size, how it is assembled and how much build-up there is. Some chandeliers are cleaned with the drops in place, while others need the drops removed and rehung for a thorough clean. We ask about the size and height when you contact us and agree on the right approach.
Does the size of the chandelier change what the work involves?
Yes, a small bedroom chandelier differs in the work involved from a large one in a reception hall. The chandelier's height, spread and how many tiers of drops it has all affect what the work involves, so we ask you about them when you call so we can prepare properly.
Should I switch off the electricity to the chandelier before the appointment?
Yes, the power to the chandelier point must be switched off before work starts; that is necessary whenever cleaning comes near wiring or bulbs. Let us know when we agree the time if switching it off means turning off a whole circuit at the breaker, so we can account for that.
Some of my crystal drops look cloudy rather than clear, will cleaning fix that?
Cloudiness in crystal has two causes: a film of dust or residue from unsuitable cleaners on the surface, which proper cleaning removes, or fine scratches in the glass itself, which cleaning cannot fix. We tell you what we find when we look at the drops, and we agree with you on the next step.
