Mattress cleaning

Noticed a stain that will not go, or found your sleep less comfortable than it used to be? Mattress cleaning removes what has built up through the layers and restores the mattress.

About the service

What builds up in your mattress stays out of sight

A mattress absorbs sweat, dust and dead skin cells every day, and they move into the inner layers, not just the surface under the sheet. With its intense summer heat and fine dust year-round, this accumulation deepens inside the mattress long before it draws any attention.

The stain visible on the surface is only what you can see. Liquid works its way into the foam, fibres or inner coils and stays there. That is why steam mattress cleaning differs from wiping the surface with a damp cloth: the steam reaches into the layer and breaks down what has dried there.

Tell us what you notice in your mattress and which district you are in, whether you need bed mattress cleaning in one room or several mattresses around the home, and we agree a time. Some customers ask for mattress cleaning (farsha) on a single bed and others need several done together: either way, call or message us on WhatsApp and we take care of the rest.

What does mattress cleaning cover?

These are the parts and steps the cleaning goes through for each mattress, depending on its condition and what you have noticed.

  • Surface and fabric pores

Cleaning starts by removing loose dust and dry particles from the mattress surface and fabric openings before any other treatment, because leaving grit under a wet surface drives it deeper into the layers.

  • Stains and affected areas

Stains are treated according to their type, whether liquid, secretion or dried sweat, because each kind needs a way of breaking it down that suits the material it has worked into the fibres.

  • Steam treatment

Steam penetrates the surface and mid-layers of the mattress and loosens dried-in dirt. It is particularly suited to foam and spring mattresses because it does not saturate the fibres with water.

  • Sides and edges

The sides and edges of a mattress press against the frame and wall, and they collect compacted dust that is easy to miss when only the top surface is cleaned.

  • Post-cleaning drying

Drying is a step nobody sees but it matters: moisture left inside a mattress changes its feel over time. The mattress is left to air fully so the layers are dry before bedding goes back on.

  • Post-clean check

After cleaning, the mattress is checked to confirm that treated stains have gone, the surface is dry and no smell remains. Anything worth noting is pointed out before the job is closed.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us what you notice

Tell us the mattress size and type if you know it, what you notice in terms of stains, smell or change in feel, and which district you are in.

  3. We agree a time

We settle on a time that suits you, and you remove the sheets and pillows and clear the space around the bed so there is room to work on all sides.

  4. We work and you check

We clean the mattress step by step, leave enough ventilation for it to dry, and you check the treated stains and the surface before we leave.

The whole home from one company

One worry is that moisture left inside the mattress after cleaning will change its firmness or cause a smell to develop later. Proper drying is a core part of the job, not an optional extra, which is why the bedding goes back only after the layers are confirmed dry. Tell us what you notice and leave the rest to us.

Questions about Mattress cleaning

How do I know my mattress needs cleaning?

Clear signs include a stain that has not shifted despite trying to remove it, a smell that stays even after changing the sheets, or a noticeable change in how the surface feels. Some mattresses show no obvious sign but have not been cleaned for a long time, and fine dust builds up in the layers even without a visible stain.

Does steam mattress cleaning suit every mattress type?

Steam mattress cleaning suits most foam and spring mattresses because it does not flood the fibres with water, but mattresses with natural layers such as latex need a different assessment. When you call, tell us the mattress type if you know it and we agree on the right approach.

What should I do about a stain before you arrive?

Do not rub or scrub the stain, as friction pushes the material deeper into the fibres. If the stain is fresh, gently blot any remaining liquid and then leave it as it is. Scrubbing with household products can set the stain and make it harder to remove later.

How many mattresses can be cleaned in one visit?

The number depends on the mattress sizes, their condition and the layout of the rooms. Tell us when you call how many mattresses you have, their sizes and which rooms they are in, and we agree on what fits the visit.

When can I put the sheets back on after cleaning?

The sheets go back on once the mattress is properly dry, and that varies with the mattress thickness, the size of treated stains and the ventilation in the room. We point this out before we leave so you do not put the bedding back too soon.

How does mattress cleaning differ from sofa cleaning?

Both are deep cleaning of soft furnishings, but mattress fabrics and layers differ from sofa fabrics and padding in thickness and the way they absorb dirt. The same team handles both services, so tell us everything you need when you call and we arrange it accordingly.

Does mattress cleaning cover a small child's mattress?

Yes, mattress cleaning covers children's mattresses too, and they are often more exposed to stains and moisture than adult mattresses. Tell us the size and what you notice and we agree on the right approach.
