Bird control

Birds returning to the same ledge, protrusion or gap under an AC unit every day? A barrier fitted in the right place stops that pattern.

About the service

Birds pick their spots deliberately, and that is why they return

A bird does not land on a ledge or protrusion by chance. It is looking for a surface of a certain width, shelter from the wind and proximity to food. Open-floor buildings, wide cornices and window AC openings give birds exactly that. Once a bird settles and starts nesting, chasing it away without blocking its return route changes nothing.

We start by inspecting the spots where birds perch and the gaps they enter, then we fit the right barrier for each surface. Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and the type of location, and we agree a time with you.

  • Ledges and protrusions
  • Openings and gutters
  • Roofs and balconies

What does bird control cover?

These are the spots and surfaces the work goes through, depending on where the birds are and what the site looks like.

  • Ledges and cornices

Barriers are fitted on the cornice edge or flat protrusion to remove the perching surface, because an open ledge is the first choice for most birds on a building.

  • Window AC openings

The gap around a window AC unit is warm and sheltered, which makes it a recurring nesting spot, and we seal those gaps in a way that suits the opening shape and wall material.

  • Protrusions and beams

Horizontal beams and architectural protrusions give birds a stable resting point, and fitting a barrier along them alters the surface angle so perching is no longer possible.

  • Gutters and drainage openings

Organic matter collecting in gutters attracts birds to nest in them, and we cover these openings with mesh barriers that let water pass while blocking entry.

  • Open roof edges

The open edge of a flat roof on residential and commercial buildings is among the places birds gather most, particularly on taller multi-storey structures.

  • Balconies and open courtyards

The ceiling and sides of a balcony offer a sheltered perching spot, and during the inspection we identify which side birds enter from to choose the right barrier for it.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us the location and the problem

Tell us exactly where the birds are settling, whether a ledge, an AC opening or a roof, and which district you are in, so we understand the site before the visit.

  3. We agree a time and you prepare

We settle on a time that suits you. The most helpful preparation is to move any furniture or objects off the balcony or away from the spots to be treated.

  4. Inspection, fitting and check

We inspect the spots first, then fit the appropriate barriers. Once done, check the edge or opening yourself to confirm there are no side gaps a bird could squeeze through.

The whole home from one company

One worry is that birds will simply find another gap right after the barriers go up. The answer is that a thorough inspection identifies all likely entry and perching routes before anything is fitted, not just the one obvious spot. Tell us what you are seeing and leave the assessment and installation to us.

Questions about Bird control

Birds come to the same ledge every day. Does that mean they have nested?

Daily return to one spot means the bird has claimed it as its own, whether or not a nest has been built yet. A nest starts with a few sticks and leaves gathering gradually, and the longer it is left the harder removal becomes and the wider the mess spreads. Calling early makes the work simpler.

How do I prepare when I do not know how many spots need treating?

You do not need to map the spots yourself. Just describe what you are noticing, whether it is on a balcony, a roof or the building's exterior. The inspection identifies the number and nature of the spots, and the assessment is built on what we find there.

What should I expect after the barriers are fitted?

Birds may circle the area in the first few days as they try to return to their usual spot. That is normal and fades gradually once they find no usable surface. Check the barriers after a few weeks to confirm they are secure and have not shifted in the wind.

Does the job change if the site is a commercial building facade rather than a home balcony?

Yes, the spots differ in height, materials and surface type. Commercial building facades often have more glass, aluminium and ledges, meaning more potential perching points. When you call, tell us the type of site so that is taken into account from the start of the inspection.

Droppings have built up on the ledge before I noticed. Is removing them part of the service?

Removing built-up droppings before fitting is necessary so the barriers bond to a clean surface and work as intended. When you call, mention how much has accumulated, as that factors into the site assessment and what is agreed with you.
