Engineered marble dulls and polishing restores it
Engineered marble such as quartz and compact is made from compressed stone granules and polymer resin, which gives it hardness and stain resistance. But that hardness does not mean it cannot scratch. Fine sand in the air and kitchen utensils leave thin lines that build up until the surface loses its sheen and looks flat.
We look at what you have noticed, then polish the engineered marble from scratch treatment through to evening out the sheen across the whole surface. Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and surface type, and we agree a time.

What does engineered marble polishing cover?
These are the parts the work goes through when polishing engineered marble, depending on the condition of the surface and what shows on it.
- Surface check and scratch mapping
We start by inspecting the surface under good light to map scratches, stains and dull patches, because the treatment varies with the depth of the scratch and the material's composition.
- Fine scratch treatment
Fine scratches show as pale lines and concentrate where the surface is used most. We treat them in stages before moving on to polishing.
- Polishing and sheen levelling
We even out the sheen across the whole surface so it looks consistent, because polishing one patch without the rest makes the difference more visible, not less.
- Lime scale and rust mark removal
Lime scale from tap water and rust marks from metal utensils settle into the top layer of engineered marble and are removed as part of the preparation before the final polish.
- Edges and tight areas
The edges and areas next to the wall or tap also dull and are sometimes missed. We include them in the polish so the whole surface looks even rather than patchy.
- Final consistency check
We check the surface under light after finishing to confirm the sheen is even and the scratches are gone, and we point out anything that needs your attention.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Describe what you notice
Tell us whether you see scratches, dullness or stains, where they are, a kitchen worktop or a bathroom panel, and which district you are in.
We agree a time and you clear the space
We agree a time that suits you. Clear the surface of tools and appliances and move any small items nearby so the full area is easy to reach.
We polish and you check the result
We polish the engineered marble from scratch treatment through to the final sheen, then inspect the surface with you under light to confirm it looks even before we leave.
A service that comes to your door
- We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
- One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
- Other surfaces with the same teamWe also polish natural marble, black marble, vanity marble and stair marble, and carry out crystallisation marble polishing, marble restoration and tile & floor polishing.
- Just describe what you seeCall or WhatsApp us, describe the surface and what you have noticed, and we agree the details with you.
One worry is that polishing might change the colour of the engineered marble or leave the surface uneven. Engineered marble has a consistent composition, and the work progresses in stages from treating the scratches to levelling the sheen across the whole surface. Tell us what you see and leave the rest to us.

Questions about Engineered marble polishing
How do I know my engineered marble needs polishing and not just cleaning?
If the surface stays dull after a normal clean, or you notice thin lines that appear when light hits at an angle, the top layer has been affected and cleaning alone will not fix it. Cleaning removes dirt; polishing treats the surface itself.
Do deep scratches in engineered marble come out with polishing?
Polishing treats fine surface scratches in the outer layer. A deep scratch that goes through the layers or breaks an edge needs restoration before polishing. We ask about the scratches when you call to decide what suits your surface.
Is polishing engineered marble different from polishing natural marble?
Yes. Natural marble is a uniform stone and responds differently from engineered marble, which is made of granules and resin. Polishing engineered marble takes that composition into account to avoid affecting the surface colour or consistency, which is why we ask about the surface type when you call.
What should I prepare in the kitchen before you arrive to polish the engineered marble?
Clear the surface of small appliances, tools and utensils, and move anything placed beside it. You do not need to dismantle anything; the surface just needs to be clear and accessible from all sides.
What changes the price of engineered marble polishing from one home to another?
The price depends on the area of the surface, the type of engineered marble and its condition: scratch depth, number of stains and how easily the full surface can be reached. We agree a price after you give us the details when you call or message on WhatsApp.
