Bee control

Hearing a constant hum near a window, ceiling or outer wall? Bees build their hives inside gaps in the structure, and we locate and remove them.

About the service

Bees choose the gaps in your building

Bees do not appear at random; they search for a sheltered gap away from heat and wind to build a hive. In they find what they need in the joints of outer walls, ventilation openings and ceiling voids, because the intense summer heat drives them indoors earlier than in cooler climates. A hive left in place grows over time and becomes much harder to remove.

We start by listening to what you have noticed, whether it is a hum inside a wall, a cluster on a tree or a stream of bees leaving a gap. Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and where you see the bees, and we agree a time that suits you.

What does bee control cover?

These are the stages the work goes through, from locating the bees to checking they have not returned.

  • Inspection and location

We follow the path of bees going in and out to find where the hive actually sits, whether inside a wall, behind a panel, in a ceiling void or in the garden.

  • Treating the swarm or hive

The approach differs between a swarm on a branch and an established hive inside a wall; the details of what suits your situation are agreed when you describe what you see.

  • Removing wax and honey residue

Honey and wax left inside a wall attract new bees, ants and other insects, so the residue is removed where access allows.

  • Entry points in the wall

The gap the bees used stays open unless it is addressed; we identify the entry points during the inspection so they can be sealed after the treatment is done.

  • The surrounding area

We check the walls and openings around the main site, since bees sometimes use more than one entry point in the same area.

  • After the work

After the treatment we check that the activity has stopped, and you let us know if you hear humming again so we can assess the situation with you.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us what you see

Tell us where the bees are, whether inside a wall, a visible cluster or near a window, and which district you are in, so we understand the situation before we arrive.

  3. We agree a time

We settle on a time that suits you, and we ask you to keep children and pets away from the area where the bees are until the work is done.

  4. Inspection and treatment

We locate the hive or swarm, treat it and remove the residue where possible, then check with you that the activity has stopped before we leave.

Questions about Bee control

How do I know if my bees need treatment or are just passing through?

A passing swarm rests on a branch or surface for a while and then moves on, while established bees go in and out of the same opening repeatedly and their activity increases over time. If you hear humming inside a wall or see a steady line of bees heading to one point, that points to a settled hive that needs attention.

What should I prepare before you come for bee control?

Keep children and pets away from where the bees are, and do not block the opening you see them using before the visit, as that helps the team track their path. If the site is in a garden or outside the building, clear the surrounding area as much as you can.

Can bees come back after the treatment?

If wax or honey residue stays inside the wall and the entry point is not sealed, the scent of the wax can attract new swarms. That is why the residue is removed where access allows and entry points are identified for sealing afterwards. Let us know if you notice activity again after the visit.

Why do bees choose outer walls in particular?

Outer walls in many buildings, old and new, contain insulating voids between structural layers, and these shaded, sheltered spaces suit bees well. In the intense heat pushes bees to look for cooler, more stable places, making these voids a natural first choice.

Bees are appearing near the pool or in the garden, not in a wall; does that need treatment?

Bees visit pools and gardens for water and do not always mean a hive is present. But if the gathering is large or keeps coming back, or you see bees entering a hollow in the ground, a plant or outdoor furniture, that is worth assessing. Tell us what you see and we work out the right step with you.
