Hours before the pour the right time to treat
Termites and soil insects live below the surface and move through cracks and pores into walls and columns once a building is complete. By the time damage shows on the surface, it has been building up inside for a long time. Pre-construction treatment reaches the exposed soil and foundations before they are sealed, which is something that cannot be done with the same effect once the structure is closed up.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and the current stage of the build, and we agree a time before the foundation pour or the layers are closed.
- Soil and foundations
- Insulation layer
- Openings and edges
What does pre-construction treatment cover?
These are the parts treated at the building site, depending on the stage of work, the soil type and the layout.
- The surface soil layer
The exposed soil beneath the foundations is treated before pouring, since this is the layer where termite colonies and other soil insects move.
- Trench and pit edges
The sides of excavations and foundation trenches are treated before the soil is backfilled, because these surfaces are sealed once the fill goes in.
- The damp-proof layer
Treatment is coordinated with the damp-proof layer, covering the soil beneath it, because that layer becomes an entry point for insects if the soil below is left untreated.
- Column bases
The soil around concrete column bases is treated before pouring, because termites travel up through any gap between the concrete and the soil.
- Pipe and service openings
The points where pipes and cables pass through are treated with care, because these openings remain as direct paths from the soil into the walls once the building is complete.
- Backfill around foundations
The soil used to backfill around the foundations is also treated before it goes back in, as backfill creates the immediate environment surrounding the structure from the outside.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us the build stage
Tell us where the work is now, whether the soil is exposed or the excavation is ready, and which district the site is in.
We agree a time
We fix a time before the foundation pour or before the layers close, and you make sure the soil is exposed on the day and the site can be accessed.
Treatment and check
The soil, foundations and openings are treated according to the site layout, and after we finish you check that the agreed areas are covered before the pour begins.
A service that comes to your door
- We come to youOur team arrives at your home with its equipment.
- One callCall or message us on WhatsApp and we arrange the rest.
- Other pest control from the same teamWe also handle termite control, bed bug control, cockroach control, ant control, rodent control, pigeon and bird control, and more.
- Describe the site in your own wordsA call or a WhatsApp message is enough to explain the build stage and what you need.
One worry is that treatment will delay the building schedule. Treatment is applied to exposed soil directly before the pour and is coordinated with the work stages, so there is no need to stop construction. It fits into the natural sequence. Tell us your schedule and we agree on what works.

Questions about Pre-construction pest treatment
Exactly when should I ask for pre-construction pest treatment?
The right time is after excavation is complete and directly before the foundation pour, when the soil is open on all sides. If the foundation layers close before treatment, reaching the inner soil becomes difficult and the same level of protection cannot be achieved afterwards.
How do I know my site needs this treatment?
Termites are present in the sandy soil, and many sites show no visible signs before building because activity happens below the surface. The sandy soil makes it easier for insects to move through it, which makes preventive treatment a logical step for any new building site.
What should I prepare at the site before you come?
Make sure the soil in the areas to be treated is exposed and ready, and that the contractor knows the time so it does not clash with backfilling. Tell us if any parts of the foundation layout are tight or hard to reach.
Can the treatment be done after the foundations are finished if the stage has passed?
Once the foundations are closed, treatment covers only what is still exposed: outer edges, pipe openings and the surrounding backfill soil. This differs from full inner soil treatment, and what can be covered depends on how far the build has gone when you contact us.
Does treatment vary by soil type or site area?
Yes, the soil type, its compaction, the site area and the complexity of the foundation layout all affect the details of the work. That is why we ask you to describe the site when you call, and we agree on what suits it before setting a time.
