Locust control

Spotted locusts landing on your garden or the green space around your home? Swarms move fast and strip plants quickly, and we treat the area before the damage spreads.

About the service

Locusts do not wait act before the damage spreads

Locusts behave differently from most pests: they do not hide in cracks or multiply slowly inside a building. They arrive as a swarm and settle on green spaces, trees and plants in a short time. The concern is not a single insect but the density, because even a modest swarm can strip a tree or a garden of its leaves in a short time, particularly during the transitional seasons experiences between the intense summer heat and cooler months.

Tell us your district and describe what you see, whether it is a swarm on the garden or individual locusts appearing repeatedly on rooftops and entrances, and we agree a time for treatment. Call or message us on WhatsApp.

  • Surrounding outdoor spaces

What does locust control cover?

These are the areas and stages the treatment goes through, depending on the size of the space and the nature of the infestation you describe to us.

  • Assessing the infestation

We start by inspecting the affected area to judge the density of the locusts and the direction they are moving in, since they concentrate in certain spots and shift with the wind and heat.

  • Green areas and trees

Locust swarms target soft leaves and young branches first, and we treat these areas to stop the damage to plants and trees in the garden.

  • Rooftops and entrances

Locusts rest on flat surfaces and outer walls before moving on, and treating these surfaces reduces the chance of them settling or getting into the building.

  • Outer perimeter of the building

We treat edges, paved areas and open spaces around the building, because when locusts are numerous they settle on the ground and hard surfaces too.

  • Building entry points

We check openings, windows and gaps through which locusts might get inside, and treat around them so that an outdoor gathering does not become an indoor problem.

  • What to check afterwards

After the work is done, watch the green area for a few days. Falling numbers of locusts are a sign the treatment is working, and any new gathering is worth mentioning when you call us.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Describe what you see

Tell us whether the locusts are on the garden, trees or rooftops, whether you see a swarm or repeated individual insects, and which district you are in.

  3. We agree a time

We settle on a time that suits you, and we suggest securing any portable pots or indoor plants near the area, and closing windows close to the space being treated.

  4. We carry out the treatment

We treat the affected areas and their surroundings, then we walk the space with you so you can see what was done and tell us anything you notice before we leave.

The whole home from one company

One worry is that the locusts will remain or return the next day after treatment. Locusts do move with the wind and weather, and that is natural, but treating the area reduces the chance of them settling again. Describe what you see, and leave the work to us.

Questions about Locust control

How do I know what I have is locusts and not another insect?

Locusts are larger than common grasshoppers, have clearly visible wings and appear in large numbers on plants and trees in a short time. The desert locust that reaches is often brown or yellow. If you are unsure, describe what you see when you call and we will help you identify it.

What should I prepare before your visit for locust control?

Move any potted plants inside the building, clear light outdoor furniture from the treatment area, and close windows facing the open space. If you have fruit-bearing trees you want to protect, mention that when we agree the time.

Can locusts come back after treatment?

Locusts move with the wind and weather, so a new swarm may arrive from a neighbouring area even after treatment. Treatment reduces the chance of locusts settling in the treated space, but the seasonal shifts can bring more than one wave, and if you notice a new gathering you can mention it when you call.

Do locusts get inside the house?

Locusts do not seek to enter buildings the way some insects do, but they can get in through open windows or doors when they are numerous outside. Closing openings and treating the outer area reduces that likelihood.

Does the treatment change depending on the garden size or the type of plants?

Yes, the size of the outdoor space, the density of trees and plants and the scale of the infestation all affect how the job is approached. That is why we ask for these details when you call, so we can agree on what suits your specific situation.
