Wasp control

Have you noticed wasps returning to the same spot on a ceiling, wall or in the garden? That pattern points to a nearby nest, and we find it and deal with it.

About the service

Wasps returning to one spot the nest is closer than you think

Wasps do not gather randomly. When you see individuals returning again and again to the same gap in a wooden ceiling, an external wall or under a shelf, an active nest is almost certainly behind it. Wasp nests are built from wood fibres the insects chew into paper-like layers, and they grow quickly through the hot summer months.

Tell us what you are seeing, where the wasps appear and how they behave, and let us know your district. We agree a time and then locate the nest, remove it and treat the activity sites. Call or message us on WhatsApp.

What does wasp control cover?

These are the stages the work goes through, from finding the nest to checking the activity sites after treatment.

  • Locating the nest

We follow the wasps' movement to find the nest entrance, whether it is in a wooden ceiling, a wall gap, under a ledge or inside a hollow plant in the garden.

  • Removing the nest

We remove the nest after treating it, because leaving an abandoned nest in place can attract other wasps or become a site for a new nest the following season.

  • Treating nest entrances

The gaps and cracks the wasps used to enter and exit are treated, as those routes are known to the colony and can be used again.

  • Activity sites in the area

We check the nearby areas where wasps were seen active, such as fence edges, shaded overhangs and food sources, and treat any accompanying activity.

  • Exposed gaps and cracks

We point out structural gaps that represent potential entrances for new nests, such as cracks in building facades or spaces between wooden boards in shade structures.

  • Post-treatment check

After treatment we confirm that activity at the nest site has stopped, and we tell you what to watch for in the following days so you know the situation has returned to normal.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us what you see

Describe where the wasps appear, whether inside or outside the building, whether you can see a clear entrance they gather at, and which district you are in.

  3. We agree a time

We settle on a time that suits you, and you keep children and pets away from the nest area and leave us clear access to it.

  4. We do the work

We locate, treat and remove the nest, then treat the activity sites. You watch the area over the following days to confirm that the activity has settled.

Questions about Wasp control

How do I know what I have are wasps and not bees?

Wasps are slimmer and smoother than bees, and their nests are papery in texture, brown or grey, usually found in gaps, ceilings and shade structures. Bees are bulkier, hairier and build waxy combs. If you are not sure, describe what you see when you call and we can help identify it.

The wasps are in the garden, not inside the house. Does that need treatment?

It depends on whether there is an active nest. Wasps returning repeatedly to one spot in a tree, a fence or a shaded corner point to a nearby nest, which is different from single wasps passing through. Tell us what you notice and we can help assess it.

What should I prepare before you come for wasp control?

Keep children and pets away from the nest area and leave clear access to it. If the nest is on a pergola or corridor ceiling, move any furniture or belongings from underneath it. Let us know when you call if the area is enclosed or needs a key to reach.

Can wasps come back to the same spot after treatment?

Removing the nest and treating the entrance reduces the chance of return to the same spot in the same season. However, unsealed structural gaps can be used again in a later season, which is why we point those out after treatment so they can be addressed structurally if possible.

What should I watch for after treatment is done?

Watch the former nest site over the following days. Complete quiet and no renewed gathering is a sign the treatment worked. If you notice renewed activity at the same spot or at a new nearby location, let us know when you contact us.
