Gloved hand scraping cement residue off a shower screen in a new bathroom

Post-build bathroom cleaning

The bathroom is handed over but the tiles carry cement smears and grout haze, and the basin and mirrors are coated in construction dust? We remove these traces and leave the bathroom clean and ready to use.

About the service

Construction traces stay in every corner of the bathroom

A bathroom collects more construction residue than most rooms: cement hardens along tile edges and in the grout lines, ceiling paint lands on the basin and the rim of the bath, and plaster haze leaves a cloudy film on mirrors and sanitary fittings. The longer these deposits sit, the harder they bond to the surface.

Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us the condition of the bathroom and your district, and we agree a time. We take care of removing the stains and residue from every surface and hand the bathroom back to you ready to use.

What does post-build bathroom cleaning cover?

These are the parts the cleaning covers in a post-build bathroom, depending on the condition of each surface and the residue left on it.

  • Tiles and grout lines

We remove cement spots and plaster haze from the tile face and the grout lines, as the porous texture of grout traps residue that ordinary cleaning cannot shift.

  • Sanitary ware

We clean the basin, toilet and bidet of paint spots and cement dust that settle on the ceramic, since white ceramic shows any remaining trace clearly.

  • Mirrors and glass panels

We remove the cloudy film that plaster dust and haze leave on mirrors, which remains even after ordinary wiping and reduces clarity.

  • Taps, shower heads and fixings

We clean cement and paint spots from taps and metal fittings, as paint bonds quickly to metal and becomes harder to remove the longer it is left.

  • Walls and corners

We remove mortar spots and paint spray from the bathroom walls and the corners where the wall meets the floor, which is where construction residue tends to collect.

  • Floor and opening edges

We remove hardened cement and grout residue from the bathroom floor and around openings such as the drain, as these spots are often missed in an initial clean.

How do we start?

Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Call or message us on WhatsApp

Tell us the service you need and your district.

  2. Tell us the bathroom's condition

Tell us how many bathrooms need cleaning, what kind of stains you see, and which district the property is in, so we can agree on what suits your situation.

  3. We agree a time and you prepare

We settle on a time that works for you, make sure water and electricity are available in the bathroom before we start, and clear any personal items from inside.

  4. We work and you check afterwards

We go through every surface, from tiles and sanitary ware to mirrors and the floor, then you check the grout lines, taps and corners to confirm no residue remains.

Leave it to us.

Questions about Post-build bathroom cleaning

How do I know the bathroom needs post-build cleaning rather than a regular clean?

If tiles or grout carry hard spots that water and soap cannot shift, mirrors look hazy after wiping, or the basin and toilet still show a grey film after washing, those are construction residues, not ordinary dirt, and they need the treatment suited to them.

Do water and electricity need to be available in the bathroom before cleaning starts?

Yes, water is needed to rinse surfaces during and after the work, and electricity is needed for lighting and for equipment. Let us know when you call if either is unavailable so we can agree on how to handle that.

What changes the size of the job in a post-build bathroom clean?

The number of bathrooms, the size of each one, the type and age of the stains, and the surface materials such as ceramic, stone or glass all affect the size of the job. We ask you about these when you call so we can agree on what fits your situation.

What should I check in the bathroom after the cleaning is done?

Check the grout lines between the tiles as they hold residue most, then look at the edges of the basin, the base of the toilet and the floor corners, then view the mirrors at an angle to catch any remaining haze. Tell us straight away if you notice anything before we leave.

My bathroom was handed over a while ago and has not been cleaned since finishing, does that change the work?

Yes, construction residues become harder to remove the longer they have been left, as cement and plaster bond more firmly to surfaces over time. Tell us when you call so we take the bathroom's condition into account and agree on the right approach.
