Pool water changes before you notice it
Pool water does not turn green or cloudy overnight. The change starts in a thin film building on the walls and the floor, and in filters clogged with the fine sand and dust that carries in every season. By the time you notice a colour change or an unpleasant smell, the water has been in that condition for some time already.
The summer heat speeds up algae growth and increases evaporation, concentrating what remains and throwing the balance off. An outdoor pool collects fine dust day after day, which works its way into the filter and slows it down, then settles on the surfaces and creates the conditions algae need. An inflatable pool is a different case because its surface is sensitive and it can be moved.
The work starts with understanding your pool's current condition: water colour and clarity, smell, the state of the walls and floor, and the filter's age. Tell us what you notice in your pool and which district you are in, and we agree a time that suits you.

- Filters and walls
- Inflatable pools
Choose the service that fits your pool
The right service depends on what you notice: the water, the filter, the walls, or the type of pool you have.
- Pool disinfectionWhen the water turns cloudy, takes on a green tint or develops an unpleasant smell and the pool needs thorough disinfection to bring the water back to a safe condition.
- Inflatable pool cleaningWhen your pool is a plastic inflatable that has gathered dirt or algae and needs cleaning without damage to its sensitive surface.
- Pool water treatmentWhen the pool looks clean but the water is off-balance or discoloured and the issue is in the water chemistry rather than the walls or floor.
- Pool filter maintenanceWhen the water circulation has slowed, the filter is not performing as it should, and it needs maintenance and cleaning to recover its efficiency.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Describe your pool's condition
Tell us the water colour, whether there is a smell, what the walls and floor look like, the type of pool you have, and your district.
Agree a time and prepare
We agree a time with you, and you make sure the pool is accessible and can be partly or fully emptied if we ask for that.
The work and what to check after
We carry out the cleaning, treatment or maintenance as agreed, then check the water clarity, the walls and the filter once the pool is running again.

Questions about Swimming pool cleaning
When do I know my pool needs cleaning?
Early signs include water turning green or cloudy, an unpleasant smell, or a slippery or slimy feel on the walls and floor. If the filter is making an unusual sound or the water flow is weaker than usual, that points to a filter issue worth looking at.
Why does pool water turn green so fast in summer?
High temperatures speed up algae growth noticeably, and heavy evaporation raises the salt concentration and throws the balance off. When the filter is also clogged and circulation slows, growth multiplies. This is why a pool in a summer behaves differently from one in cooler months.
Should I empty the pool before the cleaning appointment?
That depends on the service agreed and the pool's condition. Some cleaning and treatment work is done on the existing water, and some requires partial or full emptying. We tell you exactly what to prepare when we agree the time.
What is the difference between pool washing and water treatment?
Pool washing means scrubbing the walls, floor and surfaces clear of algae and deposits, while pool water treatment means adjusting the chemical balance of the water to keep it clear and safe. Many pools need both, and we work that out from your description of the condition.
What does a full pool hygiene service include?
A full pool hygiene service covers scrubbing the walls, floor and waterline, checking and cleaning the filter, treating the water to restore its balance, and disinfecting to deal with algae and bacteria. The actual steps depend on your pool's condition and what you notice in it, and that is what we agree when you call.
Does cleaning an inflatable pool differ from a built-in pool?
Yes, noticeably. An inflatable plastic pool is emptied, moved and cleaned inside and out, and its surface needs care to avoid scratches or damage. A built-in pool is worked on in place, on the walls, floor and filter. Tell us which type you have when you call and we prepare accordingly.
How often should a pool be cleaned?
There is no single answer that fits every pool, because frequency depends on the pool's size, how often it is used, how exposed it is to dust, and the time of year. An outdoor pool collects fine dust every day and needs attention at shorter regular intervals than a covered or indoor one.
