Appliances run every day while dirt builds up inside
The fridge runs without stopping, the washing machine cycles every week, and the microwave gets used every day. Much of the dirt that collects inside them is not visible at first: food residue in the corners of the fridge, mould behind the washer drawer, hardened grease on the microwave wall. Fine dust that enters from outside adds to the problem, settling inside parts that are rarely wiped.
A domestic appliance gets dirty in a different way from a floor or a window. A single machine has multiple materials and surfaces: plastic, rubber, metal and glass, each needing a different approach. The common mistake is cleaning only what is visible and leaving the sliding shelves, pull-out drawers and inner compartments, which is exactly where smells come from and where build-up takes hold.
Choose the appliance you need cleaned from the list below, then call or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us the appliance and your district, and we agree a time that suits you.
- Fridge and freezer
- Washer and drawers
- Microwave
Which appliance do you need cleaned?
Each appliance collects dirt differently and has its own parts that need attention; choose the one that concerns you from the options below.
- Fridge cleaningWhen you notice a smell inside the fridge, or residue built up on shelves, in drawers or along the door seal.
- Washing-machine cleaningWhen the washing machine smells damp, or black marks appear inside the detergent drawer or behind the rubber door seal.
- Freezer cleaningWhen ice has built up heavily in the freezer, or a smell lingers after defrosting, or residue has settled in the inner shelves and baskets.
- Microwave cleaningWhen grease or dried splatter has built up on the microwave walls, the turntable plate or the inner roof.
How do we start?
Three simple steps, and we take care of the rest.
Call or message us on WhatsApp
Tell us the service you need and your district.
Tell us about the appliance
Tell us which appliance you want cleaned, what you have noticed about it, whether a smell, staining or build-up, and which district you are in.
We agree a time
We settle on a time that suits you; if the appliance needs emptying beforehand, such as a fridge or freezer, we remind you of that when we agree the time.
We start the work and you check
We clean the appliance inside and out, and then you open it, check the smell, and inspect the corners, drawers and hidden parts to confirm.

Questions about Appliance cleaning (fridges, washers)
When does a fridge need proper cleaning rather than a quick fridge washing?
A smell that stays even after old food is removed, liquid that has leaked under shelves or behind drawers, or green mould on the door seal: these point to a build-up that wiping surfaces alone will not clear, and the shelves, drawers, sides and corners all need a thorough clean.
Should I empty the appliance before you arrive?
For a fridge or freezer it is best to empty it beforehand, which saves time and protects your food. A washing machine and a microwave do not need emptying first. When we agree the time we will remind you what to prepare for each appliance.
Which parts of the washing machine are usually cleaned?
The parts where mould and deposits collect are the detergent drawer, the rubber door seal on front-loaders, the inside of the drum, and the filter at the bottom. These areas stay damp after every cycle, which is why smells start there.
Does dust and heat affect home appliances?
Yes. Fine dust enters through the rear vents of some appliances and collects on the motor and condenser coil. Intense summer heat increases moisture evaporation inside the fridge and speeds up deposit build-up. That is why appliances benefit from a check at regular intervals.
What should I check after the appliance is cleaned?
Open the fridge or freezer and check the corners, drawers and the area behind the door seal. For the washing machine, smell the drum and look inside the door seal. For the microwave, check the inner roof, the sides and the turntable. If you spot a patch or corner that was missed, tell us before we leave.
What mistake do people often make when cleaning appliances at home?
Neglecting the removable parts: fridge shelves, the washing-machine drawer tray and the microwave shelf holder. These collect deposits on their backs and undersides, and wiping them in place does not remove what has built up in the hidden areas. They need to be pulled out and cleaned separately.
How do I choose the right service from the options available?
Choose the appliance where you notice the smell or the build-up: fridge, washing machine, freezer and microwave each have their own service in the list below. If you have more than one appliance to clean, tell us everything you need when you call or message us on WhatsApp, and we agree on what suits you.
